Couple Mo' Things

I wanted to show a couple other things before I forget.

These are some socks I made for my dear sweetheart Mitchell~ This is the pattern here. Now I look at it, the sock to the right looks weird, like there's an invisible foot in it. See how it's filled out? Weeeird o.O

And here are Mitch's tootsies being kept tosty in wonderful woolen warmth ^-^

And I also want to show off this bag my mom made for her friend for Christmas :) She got some help from me, but I really think it's her triumph.

She made it with a Knifty Knitter, finger knitted the handle, and used fabric to line the inside.

Here's the lining. Sorry my eyes look so weird. I think I was blinking as the picture was being taken XD

More Christmas Gifts

Here are a few more things I've made, to be given as Christmas gifts. Check 'em out!

This is an infinity scarf, designed by Crochet Mama (love that name!)

Check out the texture - love it!

I didn't really know who I was making it for, when it kind of hit me - I was making it for a new sister in Christ I know through a friend. Total God thing =)

For this scarf I used the basic idea of the previous shell infinity scarf pattern, but with thicker yarn and only 3 shells per row instead of 4. Also I didn't connect it, making it a regular scarf.

Is it not very well-looking?

I made this here mesh cap from this pattern.

I also made a smaller version of this with some tweaks for the younger sister of a classmate. The normal size, pictured here, is actually kind of big on me.

There you have it! I'll be continuing to crochet Christmas gifts, I'll upload them as they come :)

Christmas Gifts

I've been a very busy girl, and while I haven't been posting, I've sure been crocheting! I'll start with the most recent things I've made: Christmas gifts for my professors and friends I've made this past semester at college.

I made this crochet apple for my Health teacher; it seemed appropriate. Pattern from Lion Brand.

I made this Charger's hat for my History teacher; he's a fan, I'm pretty sure.

I used this pattern for the hat and made the lighting bolt with yellow and white felt and used fabric glue to stick it on.

I made this bag for my math teacher's daughter; it's a saddle bag, get it? ;D I made the body of the bag with a Knifty Knitter, the bottom is single crocheted closed, the handle is finger knitted, and the saddle is felt, glued on with fabric glue.

I made this panda for my math teacher's other daughter. I pretty much made my own pattern, though I used the bear pattern from Amigurumi Two! a little bit for reference.

I made this hat for my friend Hayley from math class. It was made in a strange sort of way; first you do the middle part sideways, then you close up the top, then you work on the bottom.

The pattern is called Margaret's Hat from Lion Brand. I think it turned out cute.

I made this scarf for my friend Cole. I made it myself, with no particular pattern. I think it was 13 stitches across and I did a pattern of hdc, sc, hdc, sc etc. starting and ending with hdc.

I know it's a little short; he wanted red and/or purple, and I was running out of both =P I also know I look tired; this was taken at about 1 am, after I'd wrapped everyone's presents, then realized I had to take pictures; so I unwrapped them, took the dang pictures, and had to rewrap them.

I made this teddy beat hat for the son of my Ceramics teacher; I heard he liked it :)

I used this pattern, but I think I increased one more time than is in the pattern because the kid's a toddler and I was worried it wasn't going to fit him. As you can see, I did the bottom and ear edges in white (I ran out of the blue..)

I made this headband for my friend Kristy in Ceramics. This is the pattern for the headband, and this is the pattern for the rosette (I did the medium size). I made another one of these for my sister. I want to make a bunch of these, they're pretty cool.
With each gift I wrote a note reminding everyone that Jesus is the reason for the season - and so I remind anyone reading this, too! The satisfaction we feel when we crochet a lovely scarf or a cute apple has been is inherited - God, our Father, is a creator too. He send His Son Jesus here because He loves you very much, and wants a relationship with you. Thank you Lord, for such a wonderful gift - You and Your heart. Merry Christmas!
